The Weekly Rondo is changing.
I’ve made the decision to change my personal coaching newsletter to a more critical and analytical football tactics and coaching website and newsletter.
The newsletter you once knew is now Northern Goals.
The reality is, with the downfall of Twitter (now X) and various other social media platforms failing to provide a good enough service to writers and creators, football coaches and analysts have turned to various sites to keep their content relevant.
The Weekly Rondo is a part of that group that struggled to find it’s place in the changing landscape. Northern Goals gives us a chance at a fresh start and new approach to sharing our ideas.
Here’s our why:
I’ve grown increasingly disinterested in what I was writing and have written about in recent years. It is no longer something I find joy in doing. The Weekly Rondo series that came out weekly kept me accountable and allowed me to share what I was learning.
We miss adding to the football coaching and analysis community, and the conversations around it.
Here’s what we’re doing different:
We’re going to write about what we like: coaching and tactical analysis of matches and teams that interest us.
We want to platform and mentor interested writers looking to break into the space.
We want to create something that we would want to read.
Here’s what you’re getting:
Thoughtful and insightful content - written and video.
Perspectives from different people and experiences, regularly.
Insight to what interests people working in football - not just the Premier League, but coaches and teams changing the game behind the curtain.

FAQs
Is this just a Canadian soccer page now?
No. It is a page run by Canadian coaches, covering coaching and analysis in their landscape, while visiting other leagues and countries for new ideas in the beautiful game. We may cover Canadian content if we think it would interest us.
Where can we find old articles?
Everything I (Cameron) have ever written will be available on this site, for free, forever. See the “archived” tab.
We’re looking forward to adding to the community again and we’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
